It didn't sell much better on XBOX360/PS3. And the first game hit the bargain bin very fast, Bayonetta 2 is still selling at full price. 

If the vgchartz numbers are correct then the sales are good. 

Gamers on 360 were clearly not into this genre, and though PS3 gamers have the largest player base of this genre Platinum fucked up that version hence it didn't sell well on PS3 either.

Why its not selling on Wii U is a mystery since Hyrule Warriors sold well.

Besides, I think Bayonetta as a franchise is massively overrated by the vocal minority (who bought it). Most people don't want to buy a game like this because they wouldn't get much enjoyment out of it. You're seriously doing the same thing (mashing buttons) the entire time of the game. And yes, I own it. The story, graphics and gameplay are just bad.
