It is somewhat disappointing just because it was recieved so well, Nintendo did a decent job of promoting it (not big marketing I know but at E3, with Nintendo Directs etc.) and provided such great value with the Bayonetta 1 + 2 pack (I am not a fan of the genre in general but after seeing the reception it got, playing the demo and seeing the inclusion of the first game in the special edition I thought it was worth buying). As it is, sales are pretty much in line with what you might have expected knowing Bayonetta 2 was releasing on the Wii U with the sales the console has. But it would have been good if the fact that the game seems to have been recieved extremely well and the extra effort put into it could have made it exceed expectations.

It's almost a shame they already released the version with Bayonetta 1 - they could have released some sort of game of the year edition including it next year (though maybe all that would do is milk the hardcore fans some more...). As it stands I don't know what else they could add to release a special edition so I don't know if they'll able to help sustain its sales with anything like that.
