That's why I'd be happy to wait a few years for the next DKC (so long as we get another one on Wii U at some point); as much as I love the game, Wii U isn't at all starved for good platformers right now.

Nintendo should always look for more high-quality local multiplayer games, that's the only segment where they have a real advantage against competiton. It's not coincidence all their best selling console games are specifically made for multiplayer (like Kart and Smash) or have a strong multiplayer component (NSMBU and 3D World).

That said, Retro is always been about single player games, that's where they should stay.
