Whatever the actual amount there is no doubt that it is going to sell a lot!
GTA multiplatform > Halo3 in Europe in my opinion so based on the combined userbase of 360 and PS3 being much larger than that of the 360 on Halo3's launching week I see GTA4 hitting 1-2m in Europe alone in its first 7 days at retail.
I'm not sure about the USA but surely it should be hitting atleast 2-2.5m first week based on:
- Halo3 hitting 2.8m last year
- GTA4 being by far and away the biggest "blockbuster" 360 / PS3 game of the year so far
- San Andreas hitting 2.2m in its first week in USA and I believe there is more hype for GTA4
These estimates would put GTA around 3-4.5m first week, its the type of game that you want to buy immediately so you can discuss it with your mates, you dont hear your mates talking about it before you own it!
