Since yes and no together was not an option, I chose option #3.
That being said, those amiibos aren't as popular so they didn't make as many. Had Nintendo made the same quantity for all models, they would have lost a little money on it. "Yes" I'm sure they knew this but "No" I don't think they had much of a choice.
