Analyst says X1 will equal PS4 in 2015 and have same userbase longterm

It all depends of your concepts.... we have people saying X1 was catching up just because PS4 was outselling it by a smaller margin.

... Even if ps4 outsells it by 1 unit every week the gap is still widening and certainly not closing. The X1 is not getting outsold 2:1 anymore so it's doing better but it is not catching up.

 

In a marathon a runner can start running faster and faster but he is not 'catching up' until the distance between him and the runner infront of him is shorter meaning he has to be running faster or 'outselling' the other runner. 

Anyone with that concept is simply wrong, all you can really say is that it's doing better, X1 will start catching up once it's outselling ps4.

I don't disagree with you, but unfortunatelly that is the logic of some people.
