I've always called it "sness" (and its little brother is "nes").
I need to get Super Metroid -- that is the only Masterpiece among the 12 on SSBB that I don't own. (Technically, I don't own NES Donkey Kong but I have it on the Donkey Kong Classics cart).

PS -- I wonder why no Virtual Boy games were among the masterpieces.
