I feel the same way.
while DKC:TF is a great game it somehow lacks the tight and masterful pacing of DKC:R .
DKC:R later levels where full of frenzy and pressure which needed to be mastered. They even played with the expections of the player.
Very special these levels and I missed that type of game design in DKC:TF ...
Another thing: as spectators the Tikas were much more "involved" than the Snowmads.
Little things like these make DKC:R realy outstanding.
