Dont forget that AI may also possess characteristics like lying, bluffing, acting dumb and so on.


Yes, that's the problem. AI would have to be limited to that sweet spot where it won't be able to mimic those characteristics and use it against us.
But I don't think that research would stop there, because research is funded by those who only care about profits and not the negative longtime consequences.
