Hmm, here in Florida I think we called it the SNES (one word), the Super NES (NES being one word), the Super Nintendo, and whatever else we felt like saying at the time including but perhaps more rarely the es. en. ee. es. I think what was preferred among my friends was Super NES but I'm not really sure.
Anyway I love regional accents, maybe y'all should sound off on where you're located so we can see if this is indeed regional.
