if u knew half of what u were talking about, then you would know that nothing is free on the internet. and then u would know that there is no charity about any of this.
and this is not about entitlement. if u think that that's what this is about then as I said, you have no idea what you are talking about. this is not even about the owner making money or not. its simple. you make a site, your site offers a service. be it news, sales data, a marketplace, access to ur friends pictures and updates....whatever. every site serves a purpose. how good that site is at meeting that purpose ensures its user base and reputation grows. the more those two grows, the more money that site makes. IT IS NOT WRONG, ENTITLEMENT, SELFISH.... or whatever, to simply ask that a site does what its supposed to do.

What do u mean nothing is free on the internet? Does it cost u money to access this site and view it's sales data? Nope, so that indeed makes it free.
The comment I originally replied to was u stating holidays/family were not a legitimate excuse for not having numbers up to date. U saying that another human being has no right to temporarily leave his job to go on vacation to spend time with family over the holidays is selfish, there is no debating that.
What is ur job? Are u not allowed vacation/holiday/personal days? Do u fail to meet ur purpose and hurt ur reputation when u take a day off or go on vacation?

Fact is as a member of the site and community he can complain about what he sees fit. If they wish to keep the revenue coming in they will do the stuff on their end. This site makes money off of us the users so we the people here basicly help them make money. Is there not even people that pay for the information? Do they have numbers yet?
Now they can feel free to vacation whenever they like however a simple heads up, have more than one person that has the ability to come up with the numbers, perhaps post rough estimates till someone gets back. I dont know these are just some ideas. Plenty of companies take vacation but still function properly. You dont see ign stop over christmas and new years. Magazines still run. The world doesnt stop because christmas and new years.

I certainly agree that things could be ran better and ur suggestions are all valid ways to help fix the problem. Ur also right that there are plenty of companies that function over the holidays but on the other hand, there are also plenty of companies that shut down completely for the entire month of December or sometimes the entire winter, so it goes both ways. And yes I know he does get paid for this site but we don't pay out of our pockets to recieve this data so it is free for us.
Of course Intrinsic has the right to complain, I didn't say he wasn't allowed to, but at the same time I have the right to call him out on acting like ioi shouldn't be allowed to take a vacation during the holidays.
