Imo it's just the unique charm a lot of their games have. No matter what series a Nintendo game just feels like a Nintendo game Mario, Zelda, metroid, fire emblem, Kirby they all have a similar design and personality. It's kind of hard to explain but a lot of devs are like this like you can just tell when you're playing a platinum game or an atlus game and Nintendo is no different
