Nintendo spent years understanding "Disney Magic". The magic is similar...and made to draw the attention hearts of children and families. Its also for people who are children at heart and like fun loving games.

Ya I pretty much agree with this, it basically comes down to Nintendo utilising a high level of quality and polish while having a bunch of games/characters that appeal to a wide variety of demographics. There are examples of other developers having games that appeal to many age groups but it seems the majority of games target specific audiences, It seems like most games are either for kids or for adults with very few being aimed equally at both sides of the spectrum.

On the other hand, a bunch of Nintendo games like Mario Kart, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Mario platformers are equally popular among kids, teens, adults, males and females.

Also i hope people don't take it the wrong way that u said people who are children at heart. That is not a derogatory term but I feel like alot of people on here will take offense to it, thinking ur calling Nintendo "kiddy".
