why did the ps2 have great 3rd,1st, and 2nd party support?

I think it was because it was easy to develop for, and it had a much bigger userbase which was a good oppurtunity for developers to make games that can appeal to everyone.

 dude. the majority of wii owners are casual gamers, that just play wii sports and will pick up like brawl or soem other mario game.
