It depends on the rules they use but if they are using double elimination with Swiss Pairings and Byes:
Round 1: 800 players x-0, 800 x-1
Round 2: 400 players x-0, 800 x-1
Round 3: 200 players x-0, 600 x-1
Round 4: 100 players x-0, 400 x-1
Round 5: 50 players x-0, 250 x-1
Round 6: 25 players x-0, 150 x-1, 1 Bye*
Round 7: 13 players x-0, 87 x-1, (1 Down-Pairing)**
Round 8: 7 players x-0, 49 x-1, (1 Down-Pairing)**
Round 9: 4 players x-0, 24 x-1
Round 10: 2 players x-0, 12 x-1
Round 11: 1 players x-0, 6 x-1, 1 Bye*
Round 12: 1 players x-0, 3 x-1, (1 Down-Pairing)**
Round 13: 1 players x-0, 1 x-1, (1 Down-Pairing)**
Round 14: 2 players x-1, (1 Down-Pairing)**
Winner: 1 player x-1
*Probably should be awarded to an undefeated player based on best game win/loss record (as opposed to match win/loss record), and only to someone who hasn't had a "Bye" yet.
**Down-pairing is when someone with a better record plays someone with a worse record. In this case I will always assume the better record wins because it produces a longest case scenario for the tournament. The only exception is the final match in which case it extends it one additional round to assume the undeafeated guy loses since it is double elimination.
