It's why the PS4 is $399 instead of just a flat out $400. I don't remember what exactly the class talked about when it came to that. I just remember they said there was a reason that prices were like that. It makes people feel like their saving more money then they actually are or something like that. Basically it's a mind game |
maybe it was a marketing class? im about to graduate in "Marketing and International Business" and Price is one of the 4 Ps of the marketing mix, (Placement, Promotion, Product and PRICE).
