Turned what around? This things gonna crawl past 16m total.

From a barren library to a decent library! With good games coming in 2015!

Saleswise, yes, it's a failure. Doesn't matter to me as long as they keep supporting it.

Then we could say Sony turned the PS4 around next year.  Except nothing was turned around because most consoles start off with less software than they end with.

To really "Turn the Wii U around" I would expect the same kind of third party support PS/Xbox get.  Until then it is still under-supported and propped up by first parties.

Nintendo's consoles haven't had good third party support since the N64. Nintendo fans obviously don't need third party games to buy a Nintendo console.

As for money, Nintendo made more profitt during the GC-GBA era than Sony during the PS2 era. Is it unfair to compare two consoles to only one? Ok, GC-GBA era made more money for Nintendo than the PS2-PS3-PSP era.

Nintendo made a mistake by selling the Wii U and 3DS for a loss at launch. But both those things have been corrected now (and this is why we aren't seeing a price cut for the Wii U yet). They're finally profitable again, and yes that is a turnaround for them.
