Either way they need to remove the authentication requirement of digitally downloaded games. Not playing online is one thing but not being able to play single player purchased games is silly.

To play all games digitally or physically;

1. SETTINGS>NETWORK>CONNECT TO INTERNET>UNCHECK THE BOX

2. IF You Have More that 15 games and apps - SETTINGS>LIMIT TILES ON MAIN MENU>UNCHECK THE BOX

This should allow you to play non network parts of any game. I was unable to play Dead Nation and WWE 2k15 until I did this. Putting all of the tiles back on the main menu allows you to go straight to the game. If you try to start a title from the library it tries to access the live tile, and with PSN down it locks up the system.

 

OP: I was able to get on the Mornings of the 25th and the 26th between Midnight and 6AM, but I have not been able to get back on via PS4 since 6AM on the 26th. 

As of 6:30PM on 12/27/2014, I am unable to access PSN on PS4 in Western Washington.

I tried that yesterday to no avail.  Im not risking jumping out of the PSN to test it now tho.

My PS4 is still connected without any issue.  Oddly enough my Vita and PS3 will not connect.
