I can only surmise that had NMH been on the 360/PS3 it would have been even shorter due to additional development costs, HD standards, and the like. The real culprit is marginal cost for each additional hour of gameplay vs revenue. Do you think Suda's folks would really be making that much more revenue (and thus profit) had the game been 1 hour longer? 2 hours longer? 10? |
Seems to me there are a shocking number of PS3/X360 games reviewed with that very problem. "The game is too short" or "the single player campaign is too short," and replayability is low or nonexistant unless you take the games online. Too much style over substance.
