Rightfully so?  God, I hate how PC this world has gotten.  It's like the feminazis and their white knight supporters are winning, and that's not a good thing.  I never had a Gameboy, but you you know who did?  Two friends that lived on my street, both of who just so happened to be girls.  You see kids don't give a fuck about that feminist shit, they buy (ask their parents to buy) whatever appeals to them.  Only adults who are pushing an agenda care.  I am proud to say that it seems a vocal majority of gamers don't care about it, either, and are trying to defend one of the few bastions where that shit hasn't taken over.  I hope we keep winning.

@ OP

I think it should return.  I think kids are going to be attracted to whatever has Nintendo games on it.  However, bringing back the Gameboy brand would definitely strike the nostalgia bone in older gamers.  This could lead to larger sales.  And God knows, Nintendo can't withstand their handheld gaming dying to mobile phones.

That's great that 2 girls you knew owned a Game Boy, but that doesn't really change the fact that video game marketing back then was solely focused on young boys. The "Game Boy" brand is a throwback to that era, and I just don't see the point of using it when gaming demographics and attitudes toward gender have shifted so much. Besides, the DS brand at this point is actually more successful than Game Boy, so its not like Nintendo would be gaining anything from switching back. Continuing with the DS brand or dropping it and coming up with something else just makes the most sense to me.
