Did Microsoft help design that d-pad? I still do not understand how in the hell you could fuck up a d-pad. Nintendo and Sega had already got it right in the past. All you need is a big plus shape that can move in 8 different directions. If somebody gets something right, copy that and don't mess with it.

Anyway, that controller is fucking ugly. What's up with all those lines? Why are they necessary? The start button is in an awkward place. It also looks cheap. It does have some redeeming factors. It was probably a hell of a lot more comfortable to hold than the N64 controller. Other than the start button, most of everything else seems to be in the right place. I think if Nintendo would have least gone with this shape, the N64 controller might have been much better.
