A realtime action based RPG allows for more immersion ... You get a lot more degrees of freedom in combat than you ever will with a turn based RPG ...
Action RPGs can also be strategic such as Demon/Dark Souls or Bloodborne ...
Pokemon is popular for more than just it's combat system such as the design of pokemons and other content such as the universe's lore ...
Pokemon on the PS4/X1 would flop badly just like the previous Pokemon games on a Nintendo console ...
