This is something that I always see yet I don't understand. What exactly is wrong with Nintendo's online from a functional POV? Nintendo Network rarely lags unless you have terrible Wifi.

I have my 100mbps net hooked up to my Wii U via ethernet and its quite clearly slower than all competitors' online services.

I've seen my friend's internet browser on PS3 and it was 100 times worse than the Wii U's internet browser (hyperbole).
