Well then...

3DS hardware is actually decent. It's down YoY, but I think that's probably excusable at this point in its life. It isn't ideal to be slowing down now for Nintendo since WiiU isn't taking off in its place, but it had a strong early life so that's excusable.

Vita sales are poor. It should be seeing more of a holiday boost. Phantasy Star Nova has been hugely disappointing for it.

WiiU sales are even more poor. I know, I know, no bundles etc. etc. It's still terrible that a console which has no momentum all year and relies on the holidays, and on the back of one of the biggest releases it'll ever get in its life, to be performing so badly. I'm guessing the console is done soon.

PS4... ehh. I don't wanna comment on this too much until we've seen what it does in Feb/Mar.

And XB1. I guess Chaos Child didn't do anything for it then? (But exclusive Japanese support! Steins;Gate sold 200k on PSP!)

Software wise, it's slightly better. The 3DS version of Smash is performing very well. And in fact, all the 3DS legs software is very good - Animal Crossing in particular is very impressive.

Final Fantasy Explorers... I don't know what to think really.  It's an average performance.  From the viewpoint of the fact that the game looked quite cheap to make, it did well.  From the viewpoint of the fact that the game is a Final Fantasy title in a massively popular genre launching on the stronger performing hardware in Japan at the moment, it's pretty poor.  I don't know what Square-Enix were expecting from it.

Neptunia's opening is also amusing. I was worried this entry was going to see a big drop off because it was so close to Victory, but nope. Nep-Nep's fanbase is rock-solid, and there aren't many franchises that can say that.

Gundam Breaker is pretty disappointing compared to the first game. But, it's pleasing to see that the PSV version is well up over the last game. I know that was a late port, but it was also bundled with an LE console which surely would've helped sales, so to see it selling better on its own is good.

Godzilla... lol. Why bother?

I notice Taiko no Tatsujin on WiiU is back in again... and so is the 3DS version. That WiiU version was an error, imo. I don't know which console it should've been on this year (3DS?), but it definitely shouldn't have been WiiU.

Yeah,Japanese market is in a really bad path! For 3ds the yoy down is slight,I would say negligible if you allow me,and it was the first time since new3ds/xl released,so we can say that the only bright spot in Japan is 3ds...!Did you expect this turn for psvita, can we say that the future of it probably becomes bleak even in Japan?

wii u has outsold  psvita, which is a handheld for three straight times and may for fourth on dec, while wii u it's quite yoy down.

As luck would have it,wasn't below ps4.

Ninsect, said that sony products have the last week as their best selling week  of the year, consequently psvita should be above wii u next week according to ninsect and stop wii u winning streak against it!

What happened in your opinion?2014 was seeming to be a promising year for psv sales in Japan and sony had boasted for the decent psv perfomance in Japan!Did psvita need a revision,new3ds/xl afflicted it?What?
