1) Gamers don't care about Windows 10, as they don't care about any OS. They do care about a brand of trust, games, competitive price, and Playstation already proved since PSX to be the most wanted Console in Europe. 2014 was a bloodbath for X1, 2015 will be even worst. Exactly, unless you're a PC gamer, but Sony makes their updates to their OS anyway, so Sony can only improve in OS features and it's streamlined nature can only get better as time goes on. The PSX comment is so true, so many new games were announced, Sony has so much more coming exclusive or semi-exclusive for PS4 in 2015, Microsoft has basically sat back and done nothing to combat all of Sony's announcements. 2) Halo 5 will be most probably released in Nov 2015, and can't help VS the the entire PS4 line up all along the whole 2015. Also see point 1) Most of the Halo audience also already has an Xbox One, because they're the game's die hard fans. MCC will also have cannibalized some of the impact for Halo 5 to move hardware. 3) In Germany there are already fantastic deals for X1, but PS4 continues to crush it every week since launch. This happens in all Europe apart from UK, where there's a good competition. And MS themselves do not care that much about Europe(apart from UK). Yep, PS4 regularly sells more than double the number of units in Europe than XB1 does, with more games exclusive to the platform incoming there's no reason to think that it can logically not drive sales in the most dominant area even higher. 4) Forza is not so popular in Europe, and won't move much units. There are games like Fifa which will move so much more consoles on PS4 than Forza and Fifa combined for X1. mark my words. Yep, it's a franchise that regular doesn't even touch 6 million in sales, not on 360's install base and the Forza effect has already happened with Horizon 2 and Forza 5. 5) Many more gamers already went and are going to PS4(360 and Wii gamers), compared to the ones who went and are going to XOne. Check the selling numbers in Europe for both PS4 and X1. Very true, PS4 will definitely dominate even harder in Europe next year. 6) This is why MS get crushed in Europe every time by the PS2, PS3(even if it was released 16 months after 360 at a very expensive price), and by PS4 now. Because MS don't like being second in anything they do... So right, Microsoft aren't goint to be happy to keep sinking money into XBox, they won't try to consume what little potential income they're making from Xbox right now by shelling out too much, especially considering they've lost 3rd party sales this generation and their own exclusives aren't selling that great. Sony on the other hand can use the extra sales they're getting from 3rd party to support more exclusives, which will only drive the sales of the platform up even harder, it's a snowball effect and momentum just keeps building. What I think ? You said all by yourself at the end of your post. Thanks for the laugh. |
See bolded comments, all agreeing really.
Europe will be even more Sony territory next year, America will also, basically global domination will just continue and Sony doesn't really have to do a lot, besides continue to announce the sort of awesome games they have been throughout this year. Usually the market leader holds back, but Sony just keeps playing like they're the under dog this gen.
I can't wait to see what they announce next year, it's going to be crazy!
