An advanced AI that helps train u is much more than character skins for Miis in MK8 and a single excluisve weapon in HW. We don't know what Kirby, Yoshi, Captain Toad, Mario Party have in store for Amiibo. It's possible that with each release, the Amiibo support becomes more and more worthwhile. |
Or you could play online against real people. There's nothing at all compelling about them. The amiibo FPs are so trivial, it hurts. It's obvious that with each release, the amiibo will be more worth while, but without a central game, they lack focus, and focus will keep the sales going. Focus will give them legs. Focus will give them a primary focus. That's why its mindblowing that Nintendo didn't launch them with a Skylanders/Disney Infinity-like game. All they'd need to do is make it free to play and give it a compelling hook what promotes buying more amiibo in a way that doesn't feel like a ripoff, which is why a Nintendo MOBA where you unlock the characters via Amiibo is such a great idea for them.
