Yeah, what they should have done is release the movie and if something did happen and people died they could confidently tell the relatives of those dead people 'we did the right thing.' I'm sure there wouldn't have been any backlash whatsoever. Risking the deaths of civilians because of political thinking is FAR more preferable to getting backlash from not taking that risk. Why should Sony get blamed for the deaths though? If they released the fucking movie like they planned and YOU decided to go despite knowing there might be some ridiculously low chance of you dying, why should it not be your fault for choosing to go? Don't point the finger at Sony. You made a conscious decision and it's on you if something happens to you. I'm so sick of everyone acting like Sony would have to take responsibility for the deaths.
