I would not be surprised if it was released in 2017... There is even a part of me that think it would be around 2016, probably something that's slightly more powerful than the PS4 (I.E. enough to run 3rd party titles that run at 30fps on the PS4 at 60 on their machine).
That would be pretty good, I may even let myself be tempted by this (I don't have a Wii U, this is the first Nintendo home console I do not own during its shelf life since the NES days... yes, I had a NES, SNES, N64, Game Cube and a Wii... some of them were not my main console, but I always had them for a while, for a few "must play" games...
