A new system from Nintendo in late 2016 would actually make sense.
It wouldn't be the first time one of the 3 giants released a new console before the old one turned 5 years old. MS didn't wait this time to put the X360 in the market, they knew it was their chance to beat Sony and they did it.
Nintendo can't afford to waste more time.
