Will a Nintendo home console ever reign on top again?

The good;

1. Nintendo games
2. Plays wii games too.
3. Reliable
4. Robust
5. Uses very little power.

Nintendo are still making good money from handhelds but I don't think they are willing to invest in a proper home game console nowadays. So I feel Nintendo will create a handheld console that also has an easy TV connection.

I so hope to be wrong though and hear that Nintendo are working on something to beat the ps4 in performance that will hit the market in the next two years. Realistically they have to do this if they want to stay in the home console business.

1) This reads like an ill-disguised attempt at trolling the Wii U while attempting to look "neutral" about it. Next time i see this you're falling out for a while

2) Why in the hell would it be a good idea to make a PS4+ in two years, when everyone will still be happy with their PS4, it'll have moved down in price and still have a healthy environment of games? It's like the calls to make "Wii HD" in 2009 that Pachter was so insistent about, it would've just cut the legs out from everything they had while not giving them anything against the competition.
