I know attach rate is an indicator of how many games console buyers buy.. but games companies won't give two hoots about attach rate, all they care about is the physical numbers.
So MS will be happy with attach rate, but if 3rd party games are selling more on PS4 than on XBO, do you think they will be going, well though we sold a lot less on XBO, we still did ok because of the attach rate. Nope, it's just the physical number that matters to them.
So PS4 having so many million sellers will be good news to the companies making software for PS4.
How many more exclusives (boxed AAA) has MS had over Sony, only one or two? Are we saying that that's making a massive difference to the fact they are selling less games across the board (on top of selling less consoles). Because again that doesn't make any difference to games companies at all. All they care about is selling as much software as possible, not the fact that one console has more games on it (which I don't think is that much bigger a number anyway).
Let's be realistic, the biggest and most important number for games companies is the number of sales a game can reach. More million(s) sellers is going to be more interesting to companies than some of the other things being thrown around.
