Metacritic is one of the most popular ways for the general public to rate things, especially leyman customers. So yeah, metacritic. That website that pops up first or second when you google terms like "Bayonetta 2 review". If someone is hardcore into games, they probably already own the Wii U or hate the Wii U. This is a smart way to educate parents and the non hardcore gamers i.e the vast majority of the Wii U's audience.

Well yeah I suppose you're right.

I only feel this way since I've never been fond of reviews, I hate it when people try to use them as a measurement of a game's quality. If people only play games with good review scores, then they could miss out on some amazing games.I think its better to look at gameplay videos, and then decide by ourselfs if the game is to our liking or not,and never by a review alone.

Although I do agree that it might help "casuals" to decide if they buy a game or not.

Casuals? Huh? Terms like that are just illy IMO. If I play games, play them well and own a huge library, then stop playing for 6 months and come back to playing again, that is not a casual or a hardcore gamer. Similarly, people without resources couldn't afford a Wii U for the last or may not have access to metracritic. There are MANY people who fit what I said but are hardly "Casual". Similarly, categorizing people as "hardcore" is kind of creepy. The 2 massive extremes are the reason why people laugh at "gamers".
