Global chart from 29th Nov week post adjustments
Xb one came damned close to outselling PS4 globally for one week. Given the difference is <5% it makes it a statistical tie.
As to this week's numbers. Big fall, as expected, in the USA for all concerned. But interesting that there was a drop in Europe as well. Probably largely due to the UK having a Black Friday of almost similar proportions to the USA. Will be very interesting to see the rise for w/e 13 Dec
Europe numbers side by side:
Xb one dropped more than PS4, which would be consistent with the effect being mostly due to the UK. Ration for the 29th week as <2:1, now it's back over 2:1, 2.4:1 to be more precise.
360 is selling amazingly in the USA. It's almost outsold PS3 for the week. I expect for the final 3 weeks of December it will outsell PS3 globally, because of USA sales. TBH I'm surprised that PS3 is still selling at the rate it is.
Wii U is down year on year. My lord! with 2 of it's biggest franchises now availabe, and one only a few weeks into its lifespan Wii U suffers YoY declines for 2 weeks running, being the 2 biggest hardware weeks of the year so far. The 'd' word is just begging to jump out. 2015 is looking to be a very tough year despite some more of Nintendo's major franchises coming along.
