What is wrong with Minecraft gameplay? I'm now inredibly curious as to what you find to be an issue.

It isn't pacing to become the best selling game of all time because people don't like the gameplay. The gameplay is fantastic. It encourages imagination and building, similar to that of LEGOs.

Don't get me wrong, the building system is quite good...its just everything else that is garbage.

The combat is absolutely terrible, especially in PvP, the bosses are quite possibly some of the worst designed bosses I have ever seen, the terrain generation is far too simplistic and uninteresting, the mob system is badly integrated into the core philosophy (mining+crafting...so why do mobs drop pretty much nothing useful?) and the difficulty scaling is practically non existent, eliminating pretty much all challenge after about 30minutes of playing if you know what you are doing.

Basically half the game doesn't understand what it is supposed to be and creates a pretty terrible game to make the building more interesting. A lot should be done to overhaul the combat and redesign the mob system to better integrate it into the core philosophy of the game, which would make it feel a little more unified. I think the worst offense are the bosses which are broken and terribly designed, but have so much potential in a game like this...

To be honest I have not played too much survival so you are likely very valid in your concerns. I was just going on what my nephews both say as they play exclusively in survival and seem to love it, granted kids do not find things to be faults where we otherwise would. Hopefully future patching and updates can help to fix the issues you have.

I play almost exclusively in creative and that mode, at least for me, has very little or nothing for me to complain about. We both obviously played it for different reasons. I might actually find many of the same complaints as you if I spent a lot of time on survival, however my daughter doesn't like playing on that mode.

I would however like them to introduce the advanture modes like I found in the PC version. It was nice downloading a few packs that has fully created adventures with their own quests.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)
