Sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll.

Just kidding.

Things that stimulate me mentally, but don't overwork me, if that makes sense.

I think that's why I like video games so much. They're mentally stimulating (more-so than a book or movie) but don't make you think too hard (unless you're playing a puzzle game or PvP game).

Having quiet time is nice. I'm introverted so being around people for too long grinds on me; it's nice to just sit down, relax, and think.

And Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd always put me in a nice, reverential mood.

That actually completely makes sense, and can lead to what's described as a state of flow. I've experienced it a few times, it requires a task that's mentally stimulating, requires a certain level of skill, but is still manageable.

"is the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity"
