You're right, it is. And what's worse, it's not even comparable situations. So not only is it childish, it's, at its base, wrong.

Like, if, when MS dropped the Xbone to $350 and people called it "fire sale", Best Buy did it's own holiday thing and said "12% off all purchases $399 and higher" so technically the PS4 could be obtained for $350, MS fans say "looks like Sony is getting desperate with these fire sales".....but Sony has nothing to do with what promotions Best Buy runs. Childish and apples to oranges.
