It is the easiest way to game since almost everyone has a PC that they can play games on.

Almost everyone has a PC that older games can be played on. The majority of systems in place can't play the latest, most aggressive games well. Halo 3 and a lot of the newer games are fairly demanding, system-wise. I know... I used to do a lot of PC gaming, and I had to regularly replace or upgrade my system to be able to play the newer games.

Also, compatibility issues are more of a factor in PC gaming...

I like how you quoted your own post right after you wrote.  Edit button ftw.  I have had the same computer since around 2004.  I have only upgraded it once.  I added 1024 mb of memory to it and I have run games just fine.  Yea I sacrifice some of the prettyness in the games like Team Fortress 2 but I can still run it.  The only game I have never been able to run is Quake Wars: Enemy Terrority which I only dled the demo because I love Wolfenstein ET.

OT:  Yea the PC game market is huge and has tons of potential tracking wise.  I wish it was.
