To be fair, us/UK split is only fairly recent, and it's because Xbone is only doing well in those markets. Last gen xb360 did reasonable numbers in other markets so the distinction is quite stark this time around. So in terms of tracking the health of xb one sales USA and UK are important to consider.

feels like forever

but PS4 is doing well in those markets too, much better than the PS3

And that's quite interesting information itself. In many ways PS4 being number 1 in these two markets, at the moment, is the story of this generation...well aside from Wii U's absolute fall from grace. PS4 dominance in, well, everwhere else = expected, and given the level of dominance rather boring and uninteresting. Who can be bothered speculating on whether it will be 4:1, 5:1, or 6:1? Meh, it's a lot and that's all we need to know.

The only interesting things happening are in the USA and UK because there is actual competition there, finally. MS is focussing on these markets because they know the survival of Xbox depends on those markets. Before Kinectless came along, and to some extent even before ACU $350 bundle came along, Xb one being the last ever Xbox console was a prospect that people could not easily dismiss. Now however Xb one is sufficiently rehabilitated in USA and UK for Xb oners to have reasonable confidence that Xbox will be around for at least one more generation after this.

i don't think the Xbox or nintendo crowd would find it boring if they were leading in nearly every market, you're not thinking like a fanboy, lol

that $350 deal is insane that is like £225 ,we'd sell 5m plus quickly if bundles were that price over here,i'm not sure MS would have let Xbox end this gen if it had not picked up they clearly mean business, its going to be interesting to see LTD sales of all 3 and how & where they survive this gen
