MK8 more than doubled the base line of sales for Wii U for almost two months. To see a game's effect on a system you should compare the sales of the same console before and after that game. It doesn't make any sense saying a game didn't do much for a console just because this console isn't selling better than other (on another time!).

I tought we were discuting MK8 effect on Wii U sales and that has nothing to do with GameCube.

I'm well aware the effect MK8 had on Wii U but my comments wasn't regarded to how much MK8 push Wii U, it was related to how far behind Wii U is compare to gamecube considering the 2 best selling games is already out.  I don't know about you but this thread is practically Wii U vs. gamecube, that's why I disagree with the OP.  It's becoming apparent that Wii U will have a tough time reaching gamecube level as time pass.  There's still some price cut to play on but Nintendo is taking to much time  implementing those price cut.
