Square have reported FF shipments of 80M, and Rockstar have reported GTA shipments of 70M. Wikipedia has links to financial reports.
And Sims, counting SimCity, the Sims and other odd games I believe is well above 100M.
But still... Mario is above the likes of GT, DK and maybe Zelda from current gen sales alone.
