It's not picking, it's valid criticism. Show me where on my OP that I "picked" on Nintendo.

Calling developers lazy and stubborn for making games that don't 100% match your ideal vision of what they should be according to your personal preferences is not and has never been valid criticism. Furthermore, singling out Nintendo when other companies that make multiplayer 2D platformers make the same design choices is picking on them.
