They should have kept it exclusive. One of the Wii U's main problems is that too many of its games have counterparts on the 3DS. If Amiibo ends up being a good idea it will help the Wii U, then after that the platform can expand. But right now people need a reason to get a Wii U--not a growing list of excuses why it can wait.
