Actually, the point I was making wasn't "you couldn't do it", but "it's hard to do for anybody". Even if it pales in comparison to the competition, it's still an exceptionally solid result. To spin "we've increased our sales" into a negative, on the other hand, is at best disingenuous, and more likely to be trolling or flamebaiting.

Eh not really. We're talking about a billion $ global company here, you need to put things in perspective.

The figures are not good considering it has Smash and Mario Kart this year, most people thought it would shift 300k/400k.

They're not all that bad, and while Smash is something you'd hope would drive sales, it's like most of Nintendo's games - long-tailed sellers. People seem to be expecting Nintendo's games to show sales patterns similar to those of the other systems, where sales are generally high for a week or two, before disappearing entirely.

And like I said, sales even at the pace the Wii U is achieving isn't trivial at all to achieve. Sales when it was around 10k a week in the US were dismal. Of the order of 150-200k in one week in the US isn't, however.

Because it's the holiday ... everything sells better in the holidays, even the Vita got the same % increase.

And we're not talking hardware are we. Mario Kart has hardly helped hardware this fall has it? Noone is doubting that the titles themselves have legs but they're doing very little for hardware outside of launch period.
