@zen: I actually really adored the series at some point in time. I even tried to play through Castlevania 64. However, I got the first GBA castlevania and finished it, then got the double pack of the other two on GBA just before getting a DS. I finished them both. Then one of the first DS games was the first Castlevania DS.

And you know what? I stopped after about 8 hours of playing. Cause I got bored. I mean, how often within 4 months can you start at the castle bridge, then go through the caves to get to the secret gardens and the hall and the clock tower to eventually get an items so you can jump high/ walk under water/ walk on water etc. pp.. I really just stopped caring. cause i have been there and done that. nothing new.

I really used to like Castlevania. At one point it was the highest form of innovation (on SNES, PS1). Since then, its Symphony of the night all over again...
