Huh? http://www.ign.com/wikis/xbox-one/PS4_vs._Xbox_One_Native_Resolutions_and_Framerates

I didn't count but that looks like at least half the major games run at 60FPS. Then you add all the indies which mostly run at 60FPS and you've got a stew going.

A lot of those allegedly "60fps" games are actually far from it, like Titanfall, which spends most of it's time in the 30s and 40s, and even drops below 30fps.

It's true the majority of 60fps titles tend to be high variables, but there's nothing wrong with that. It's unreasonable to expect a perfect 60fps from titles with a varying demand for resources, not unless you want to compromise other aspects of the visuals/scale/gameplay (which people will complain about/criticize even more than the former strategy). There are limits to how variable is acceptable, but that's mostly a matter of personal standards. I'm of the opinion that a 50 to 60fps variable is the "sweet spot" (if a lock isn't possible) with 40~ being acceptable during "holy mother of god everything is exploding" sections :p

On a side note, TF spends most of its time at 50 to 60fps now, though it does frequently drop into the 40's (rarely for long). Drop's into the 30's are also quite rare, usually only during the game's equivalent of a set piece. Still a somewhat poor showing consider the resolution and fairly low key visuals, but i thought i'd point it out regardless.

While an unlocked framerate is by no means a deal breaker for me (I adore Bayonetta 2, which targets 60fps but runs in the 35-50 range when the shit hits the fan) I think it's a fair comment to make that there are probably more Wii U games than Xbone/PS4 games that achieve a locked or near locked 60fps.

That's not a knock against the other consoles, just a reflection of different developer priorities.
