It depends on the game and if it resonates with me. There are a lot of games I think I'll really like, play and like them for a few hours, then just stop coming back. Most recently it happened with Bayonetta 2.
I don't even know what makes games click with me, it's really odd. I logged 700 hours on Call of Duty 4 multiplayer and Civilization V. I've logged thousands of hours on Pokemon games going back to Pokemon Red. I've played over 20 hours, and counting, of the Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. Probably nearly 100 hours on Skyrim. I've logged hundreds of hours into Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, A Link Between Worlds but can't find it in me to finish Wind Waker. I've beaten the first 3 DKC games and continue to return to them periodically, but haven't returned to Retro's two since beating them... just really odd.
