That's what i added about passives. If you're abilities and weapon have passive stats on it, like for example a big sword giving you bonus armor and taunt effect or a scepter giving you bonus magic at the cost of armor, it's the dynamic equivalent of a job system.
As far as leveling is concerned it's possible to do it with separate weapons/abilities level but they will probably pull off something cooler.
