What we need in redesign:

1. Quietter consoles.
2. Bigger harddrive.
3. WiiU without gamepad just a WiiU Controller Pro.
4. WiiU without the power brick.
5. Blu-ray video support. Not sure if this is possible and still run the WiiU optical disc.
6. Increase Ram and processor, Not for games performance but faster loading menu and load times.
7. Cost need to be under $250.00.
8. Color, I loved my Platinum colored Gamecube.

Platinum color WiiU for $250 featuring wisper quiet console with faster loadings time, 250 GB HD and WiiU controller Pro (gamepad sold separately).

I agree withthe numbers 2 (well, bigger Flash Drive to be precise), 4 (IF possible in such a small case) and 8 (more choice is always better, and would be a nice chance from the usual black-or-white consoles nowadays).

Number 7 will come anyway someday (probably mid 2015)

Number 1 is silly, as quiet as the Wii U is

Number 3 is just plain dumb. An upgrade of the Gamepad with more battery life and higher resolution screen however would be nice.

Number 5 would need a different drive, one who could play both. The risc being it being used more for pirated discs than for actual Blu-Ray movies probably prevents this.

Number 6 can be pretty useless depening on what exactly is the bottleneck, and would need expensive redesigns in production. So no.

One major problem though: almost all of these changes would be quite expensive, so these would certainly prevent Number 7 to happen. Flash memory could be expanded to 64 GiB due to the price drop of the latter in the last years, but not much more without raising the pricetag. Hardware upgrades and redesigns make them more expensive.

Long story short, only the last point seems really doable right now.
