By NPD don't they mean the leakers in GAF? The data they present is the same as that released in those Gaf threads, nearly word for word. For the record again I have no doubt the information is accurate, but as I said with news being released that some in gaf intentionally leaked false information it raises legitimate concerns in some. It also doesn't help that all those reporting on it using the gaf leaks as their source give the impression they are combining UK sales(not saying that is the case, just how it looks) My point being once MS releases their PR touting the 1.2million achievement as they should all doubts will be gone. Until then however none of us can really know for sure.

True, I wouldn't put it past Eurogamer to repeat rumors instead of fact checking :/
I guess the only real thing we can go on is shipment numbers. It does seem odd that MS is not announcing 1.2 million, more than ps4's biggest launch last year.
