Yeah, I think the writing was on the wall when it became obvious Nintendo weren't even attempting to compete in Black Friday deals. Xbox One and PS4 dominated that week in the UK and US because of huge amounts of deals and marketing. Instead of drumming up bundles and deals for one of their biggest releases, Nintendo were relatively quiet.
This year must be all about profit. It'll be interesting to see if Nintendo act more aggressively after this financial year closes, or if this profit orientated strategy is the plan for the rest of Wii U's lifespan.
